RANDOM THOUGHTS THAT KEEP ME SANE THROUGH MY WEIGHLOSS JOURNEY
- Ok this is Sat Aug 22,2009
- I have alot to do today and little time to do it
- Have to finish school supplies for both me and my son
- Have to go to my son’s school and set up his locker so that he wont have to carry all this stuff inside school . He goes toa charter school so they dont allow back pack to be carried around all day .
- Met my future professor in my nursing clinicals hopefully i will start soon . Her son coincidently is in my class son’s and she lives near me like down the street. So its nice to meet someone in my future field of nursing .Shes really nice . her sonis so adorable has a lot of similariteis to my own soon so they will get along perfectly. Im glad my son met a new friend ….
- I have to gofood shopping …. I shop for a month so i dont have to go in and out of the supermarket unless im doing something new. I dont what so ever buy any type of junk food. And if you dotn buy junk food during grocery shopping say you want to back a cake then you have to go to the store to buy the ingredients if you dont have them it makes you think is it really worth going all the way to the store for that .Only if you have to go ….you go.
Heres an example of what I buy on my monthly foodtrips. Note: I dont stay in one store i shop in several stores to get the best deal. I spent 289 dollars no more than 300 dollars and that last me a month. Im a Family of 4. It takes me about 3-5 hrs to finish food shopping. its worth it …… So heres what I buy(not the whole list but an example)
Fruits- Apples (a must) Cherries ,Bananas, Oranges, Genapas (found in Carribean or warmer country climate areas) Avacados ( I hate but hubbie likes) Strawberries
Red Green and Yellow Peppers, Onions , Scallions, Thyme,
Veggies- Green beans, corn, carrots , broccoli, Romaine Lettuce , Green Cabbage, Tomatoes, Collard Greens,
Meats- Chicken legs ,Whole roast Chicken Chicken wings, chicken breast, Stew Beeef, Pork Chops, Ground Turkey, Liver , and Pork Neckbones(For my collard greens)
Misc, Oatmeal, Green teas, sugar brown, wheat flour, rice both brown and white, wheat pasta all kinds . Milk both 1% and Soy milk Van or PLain.
This is some of my list but if yalllike the whole list let me know Ill send it to you (FOR REAL I WILL, HEY I SAID IM KEEPIN THIS BLOG REAL YOU KNOW)
I know some may not agree with what i buy but I eat whatever I want on my journey i just have rules
- #1 Since im doing weight watcher onmy own not going tomeetings that is but im following my weight watchers plan the food i eat has to be within mypoint range and calorie range .
- #2 I have to control my portions
- #3 If i do indulge in that so called peice of chocolate cake … I have to with out no doubt know how many calores of that I ate and have to work out what i ate for example : If i ate a cookie that is 350 calories i have to work out 350 calories extra after my intial workout so if i work out and burn 500 cal i have to now work out and burn that cookie which is 350 cal making my workout 850 calories i have to burn . When you look at it that way you are less likely to endulge in bad stuff or hig calorie stuff alll the time onc eina while is okay btut if you know that you have to burn that much then you most likely eat an apple it will force you to think about what goes in your month RIGHT
This also applies to when i dont work out its like school when your absent dont you have to makeup your home work . No one say s in school no you cant be absent . They just say hey if your absent you have to make it up. So If i choose not to work out one day I mean beyond your normal rest day . Note : everyone has to no matter what take at least a 24 hour rest for the body if nto you will burn and possible even hurt your body if you dont let your bidy catch up with a day of rest . So im talking if i take a day off besides my normal rest day which for me is one day a week if i take off two days I wont add a day I will just resume to the next day and that next day i will work out the missing day into that day. For example I work out every MON -SAT my day off is SUN Say like on Tues and SAT I didnt work out ON Wed i workout mynormal 60min on wed and then included a extra 30min to make uo for the tues i didnt . and on sat since i didnt work out i make it up on my rest day but only for a30 min .
Now this may not please some of you but for ME this is how i saty focused and organized cause Im all about focusing. I spent alot of time and years doing what not keeps me focus so this time i have to stay focus casue this is the last time I will be going through this type of journey….
IF YOU WANT A BETTER YOU, YOU HAVE TO WORK AT IT
So anyways that me It might seem extreme but I can take it Im willing to push myself….
- I didnt work out LMAO today but got a techinical workout becaue i had to make 7 trips up to the 3rd story to get my groceries home ..Dont knwo it burned any calories but hey its something .
But I like i said earlier willmake it up for 30 mins.
Aug 23,2009 Random Thoughts that keep me sane especially today throught my weightloss journey
- I woke up real real late today like 1pm
- My little guy was so sick he stared feelign bad last night . His stuffy nose was bothering he was crying all night so I got no no sleep Im tired.
- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER RASHIDA SHE IS TWENTY SEVEN YRS OLD she’s the baby of the family .(Im one of 11 chldren ,Im sort of the middle sharing the middle spot with my sister Monique)
- So my anxiety of my older son starting middle school tomorrow is really catching up with me .Im just so nervouse about it .( iwas like this when he went to kindergarten)
- He broke his Wii some how so now I mad at him
- So now cause of allthsi emotion i want to overeat. I definitly an emotional eater I been I think always so now Im trying to get a handle of it so if i feel liek eating something I always make it an apple thats why I have to have apples in my house.
- Watchin color Purple on BET
- OOH cant wait for Alice inWonderland remake to come out starring Johnny depp
- Im having an univentful day today nothign special happen.
- Gonna cut my sons hair tonight and get his stuff ready but im prepared.
- For dinner im having sphagetti and meat sauce .( the spaghetti is wheat rotini twist and the meat is ground turkey seasoned with salt pepper sazon onions parsley garlic powder .The sauce is regualar store brand garden style sauce

Thank you guys for all the motivation and great advice its getting me through this it really is

About to do my workout i missed saturday but only for 30 min maybe more but minimum for 30 min
Here’s my make up work out for August 22 2009 SAT
Staying at a 6% incline at a 2.0mph for 1-3 minutes
then stay at a 6% incline at a 3.0 mph for 3-4
then stay at 4% incline at a 5.0mph for 4-5min
repeat for 65 minutes
The last 5 minutes drop to a 0%incline at a 2.0mph for the last 5 min for cool down
Results of workout
total time= 65.03 min
total calories burned= 535 calories
total miles run = 2.83miles
